PZU Group is intensifying its efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. As part of these activities, Poland's largest insurer is beginning the process of electrifying its vehicle fleet.
PZU Group is intensifying its efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. As part of these activities, Poland's largest insurer is beginning the process of electrifying its vehicle fleet. For this purpose, PZU is collaborating with Polish technology company VivaDrive, which specializes in fleet electrification software. The transformation of PZU's fleet aligns with the insurer's strategy to be an active participant in the green energy transition.
PZU Group's Sustainability Strategy
As part of the PZU Group Strategy for 2021-2024, the company sets as one of its main goals to operate with a sense of responsibility for the natural environment and to support the energy transformation process. By 2024, PZU plans to fully use green electricity (based on guarantees of origin from renewable energy sources from suppliers with whom it has direct agreements) and offset emissions from its own sources and thermal energy (Scope 1 and 2).
By 2030, PZU additionally plans to reduce CO2 emissions by further reducing its carbon footprint in Scope 1 (systematic expansion of the fleet with hybrid and electric vehicles) and maintain full climate neutrality in operational activities (Scope 1 and 2). By beginning the process of electrifying its vehicle fleet, PZU Group is intensifying its actions in this area.

VivaDrive Technology in Fleet Electrification
The VivaDrive solution uses advanced technologies such as AI and Big Data to optimize the fleet electrification process. The tool creates a digital twin of the fleet, analyzing fleet data to provide personalized recommendations for the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure.
The use of AI allows for the analysis of a huge amount of data regarding transport tasks, vehicles, and existing infrastructure. Thanks to this, the VivaDrive tool is able to predict which transport tasks can be performed by electric vehicles, which drivers are ready to switch to electric, and what are the gaps in EV charging infrastructure. This allows companies to plan and implement EV strategies efficiently in terms of operations and costs.
